Why choose grass-fed beef?
The health benefits alone are worth the switch: higher in antioxidants, vitamins A & E, minerals, and beta carotene. Grass-fed beef is a leaner beef with a lower saturated fat content, but has a higher percentage of the good fats that our bodies need; essential fatty acids as well as conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), both of which may help prevent some cancers, diabetes, and aid weight loss.
Grass-fed beef also generally has no exposure to growth hormones or antibiotics. Diseases among cattle such as mad cow disease or E.coli are rare among the grass-fed cattle.
